'Listen to the Music'

This week we have been learning a new song with Jessie, 'Listen to the music one, two, three;
listen to the music one, two, three;
listen to the music'.
Then we sang 'Play very loudly one, two, three', or 'Play very quickly', 'Play it very slowly', or 'Play it very softly' also. Libby, Sophie, Donnagh, Taylah and Corbin (not in photo) took turns to choose loudly, slowly etc while banging the large drum. In between each song the children were very good at stopping when ever I said 'stop' and raised my hand in this action, so we could discuss which speed or volume to sing the next song at. Taylah suggested "sing Twinkle Twinkle, little Star", and we went on to sing 'The Wheels on the Bus' also. Music is a great mode of expression, enjoyment and memory. Jessie
