Autumn Leaves

Yesterday I started to rake the leaves as they were everywhere on the grass. Corbin and Kian noticed and took the initiative and they grabbed a rake from the sandpit. Together we raked and raked the leaves. We then thought it would be a great idea to get as many leaves as we could, then tip the leaves inside the big green box so we could hop inside and jump on all those soft leaves. Taylah, Corbin, Kian, Donnagh, Amelia,Oly and Libby helped gather the leaves. Then Laker, Elijah and Charlie came along and had a great time in the box. I would pick up the leaves and throw them over their heads. They giggled with the anticipation and called for more leaves.

Later in the day Paige explored the leaves too and crawled inside the box. Tyra and Amelia spent most of their afternoon sitting in this box chatting away.

What great fun natural resources can make and they cost NOTHING! Perhaps this is something you could do in the weekends go to the local park (or the Botanical Gardens) and make huge piles of leaves then jump in them, it brings great joy to the children.
