Sun Hats at KIDSPACE

We have had a discussion about sun hats today. Cancer Society guidelines are that children should wear sunhats for the first and third term, however, as the weather has been particularly mild we have needed to extend it up till now. This week there has been a noticeable drop in the temperature so we are dispensing with sunhats until the spring. We will still leave the hat bin out for children who choose to wear a hat but will not insist on them wearing one. Of course we will still monitor this especially over the warmest part of the day and teachers will model wearing a hat if it is particularly warm. Irene
