Mollie and Aimee's brother has just undergone his 4th operation for a recurring brain tumour. Jude writes from Starship about a fundraising effort to take this incredibly brave boy to Disneyland: "Lochies trip to disneyland.... i have a friend who has stickered her white Mitsubishi FTO in Lochies handprints - green, with LOCHIE ROX on them. so if you are in Napier, or palmy this weekend, if you see it, it is to raise money for Lochies trip. we are trying to raise $6500 it is going to cost to get him there. KORUCARE are paying for the trip but have asked us to help raise funds also if we are able. Chris Tremain, local national MP came up with the idea of getting people to sponsor a hand, and raise money this way. the story will feature in the courier on the 30th. I'm not sending this to you to ask for money, hell no, what i am asking is that you tell everyone you know about it and see who wants to donate or just get the word out there that this is what the car is all about..... chris is kickstarting the campaign with $200 worth of hands!! wicked!!"

hey whanau... thanks Irene for advertising this about the LOCH ROX car! so far we have raised just over $700 since the story featured in the courier. Another story is going featured in this weeks courier I think, this time with photos of Chris Tremain sticking his big yellow hand on the car.
Lochie is going in for the 5th operation today as the hole made by the old tumor has reopened again. so much for 1 op and 1 week of recovery! Try 5 op's and a month of our 5 star accommodation at starship!!
Thanks again Irene for the care package, it was a great home meal rather than takeaways. I never thought I would get sick of takeaways!

Thanks Irene for advertising this among the KIDSPACE whanau. What a journey. Instead of 1 operation and a weeks recovery, Lochie up to number 5 operation and a month of 5 star accommodation at Starship! The operation today is to repatch the hole where the tumor was with tummy fat - 3rd time they have tried this so if it dosent work this time, they will perform a craniotomy.
The story will feature again in this weeks courier, I think this time Chris Tremain is in the photos sticking on a giant yellow sticker on the car. So far the car has raised $700. Awesome effort!
