Look how busy Kian, Caelyn and Oly were in the sand pit yesterday. It all started with digging holes in the sand then moved on to construction of a water slide using lots of different pipes and the hose. I found it really interesting listening to the children discuss how to go about their task. They showed great perseverance. Activities such as this allow children to actively explore and make sense of their world using their bodies, tools and equipment. Rie
