This afternoon Joaquin, Sarah and Tyra played with my (Tamara's) very hungry caterpillar magnet story. I was the narrator. As I told the story they all listened carefully and placed the next magnets on when it was their turn. They were great at turn taking. This was a great story for them to act out using props especially as it is a very well known book. What a great experience for Joaquin, Sarah and Tyra to be engaged in telling these stories and acting this out as this helps increase their confidence. Story telling encourages early literacy skills also and promotes a love for stories and reading, showing that it is a fun experience.
